Scream by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett film review

Scream film review

With a modern twist to the series, Scream 5 managed to modernize its classic storyline and pay homage to its past. It is a fresh restart to the franchise, but not without its share of nostalgic throwbacks that longtime fans will recognize.

This installment delivered it on all levels and added some much-needed depth to what would otherwise have been another generic slasher film.

Creative kills that are both gruesome and entertaining, a stellar cast of legacy actors and new faces, and intense suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat, Scream surely solidified itself as the OG of slasher films.
