Project: BERYTUS ..A Glorified City
Maher Attar combines his background as an award-winning photographer with his war-time photography and lifestyle portrait of world leaders and celebrities.
In 1984, Maher Attar started his career as a war photographer working for Agence France-Presse in Lebanon. His debut as a press photographer was launched in 1985 by a moving photo taken during the war in Lebanon that made it to the front page of New York Times. In 1986, Sygma Photo Agency, now known as Corbis-Getty, appointed him as a Middle East Correspondent. Maher covered the Iran-Iraq war, the Gulf war, the Afghanistan Taliban war, Achille Lauro hijacking, and the American and French hostages crises in Lebanon among other conflicts and events in the Middle East.
Maher held a number of positions as a Photographer and a Communication Advisor to HRH Princess Haya of Jordan and Director at the office of HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, he was
in charge of developing Qatar’s image bank and organizing programs designed for NGOs to teach children from Asian countries the techniques of photography. As an expert lomographer, Maher was selected by the MEP (European House of Photography) and IMA (the Arab World Institute) to exhibit his latest lomography work at the first photography biennale of the contemporary Arab world in Paris from November 2015 to January 2016.
After the blast of August 4th, 2020, Maher founded the first photo gallery ART DISTRICT – House of Photography in the heart of Beirut.

Project: The Silver Screen: A Théâtre Comedian’s Perspective
Passionate about promoting art and culture in Lebanon, Josyane dedicated more than 40 years to that field. Writing, production and management of TV and Theater have enriched her skills as a communicator and broadened an already excellent network of contacts and relations with the media and the Lebanese cultural scene.
Josyane produced and presented successful TV programs during the 80’s and the 90’s with her late father Jean–Claude Boulos then went on to co-start the event management company Urban Art, officially launched in 2000 that she managed till its closure in 2015 when she started her solo venture operating under the registered brand “62 Events by Josyane Boulos.”
All in all, Josyane created, managed, conducted and produced hundreds of cultural and artistic events in Lebanon, be it theater, street festivals, corporate events, exhibitions, conferences, congresses and more.
In 2004, Josyane published her first book “Carton Rouge” and has an ongoing French Blog “Mon quotidien dans un chaos organisé: Beyrouth”.
Since April 2022, Josyane is the administrative and artistic director of Le Monnot Theatre.

Joseph Azoury is a multi-talented artist known for his skills as an actor, director, musician
and lecturer. Born into an artistic family, with his father being the actor Sami Toufic
Azoury, Joseph’s passion for the performing arts was evident from a young age.
Beyond acting, Joseph’s creative pursuits extended to the director’s chair, leaving a mark as a skilled filmmaker with an eye for captivating storytelling.
Joseph is also a highly skilled musician, showcasing his talents as a multi-instrumentalist. Joseph released his first solo album “Veranda” on all streaming platforms in January 2023. His passion for music has been an integral part of his artistic journey, adding yet another dimension to his creative repertoire.
In addition to his contributions to the arts, Joseph dedicated a decade of his life as a lecturer at the university, sharing his knowledge and passion for the craft with aspiring artists and students.

Elie Fahed is a Lebanese film director. Born in Zaytoun on May 8, 1989. He studied film making at the Lebanese University – Fine Arts Institute. During his second year of studies, his personal short film “Ma Yenaad Aaleik” was selected for the Beirut International Film Festival 2011.

Hady Zaccak is a Lebanese award-winning documentary maker and a professor at IESAV film school (Saint-Joseph University/Beirut). He is the author of more than 20 documentaries and a book on the history of Lebanese cinema.

I was the runner-up at SundanceTV Shorts Competition in the MENA region for my Short film “Huit Ans – 8 Years” and was officially selected in many festivals.
Through my work, I focus on showcasing the stories of different people with diverse backgrounds. Their stories inspire me to continue tapping endlessly into my creativity thus creating media that stirs people’s emotions.

Born in 1995, Charbel Chouchany is a Lebanese filmmaker currently based in
Beirut. He primarily functions as a director, photographer, and videographer, contributing his talents to diverse projects ranging from commercials, documentaries to short films.
Throughout his film studies, he successfully acquired a bachelor’s degree from the American University of
Technology. Furthermore, he gained invaluable experience through a one-year filmmaking workshop he attended in Italy back in 2018.

Pamela is a lebanese filmmaker based in Paris. Her first film Leila was screened in france and lebanon and won best cinematography in LIFF and a special mention in ARTEMARE film festival in Corsica.
She showcased her third short film “WAR, EXPLOSION DEPRESSION & Other types of pillow talk “ in Centre Pompidou in 2023 and is currently in post production of her latest film “je n’aime plus ma voiture” that is produced by EVERYBODY ON DECK and TV5monde.

I was born in Batroun – North Lebanon.
I am Joseph Tanos a Lebanese filmmaker studied at the Lebanese International University (LIU) in its Communication Art Department and highly degree graduated, after I finished my study in interior design and architecture for three years in a technical school. I’ve worked as an assistant director and performed in front of the camera in different acting roles (short films – advertisement – NGO…) and wrote several scripts and poems in Arabic.
My overall concept in films is based on Mystery, Drama and Surrealism.

Estéphan Khattar is a Lebanese film and TV director and writer. He holds a Master’s degree in Film Directing from the Lebanese University’s Faculty of Fine Arts II. He wrote and directed several short films, including the two award-winning shorts “Feno” (2016) and “A Photo, a hotel, and her” (2019). He created and co-wrote his first pan-Arab TV series in 2022. In 2023, he is selected as Film independent and Global Media Makers Fellow to participate in the LA Residency with his debut feature film “Summer 58”

In addition to her cinematic pursuits, Layal has ventured into the realm of animation, finding a passion for motion graphics.

Yara Lahoud journeys by storytelling through scriptwriting and film directing. She advocates for human rights, peace, and empowerment through her films and creative projects.
She is an award-winning screenwriter and director.
Her film ‘Lady of a Portrait’ is the Winner of the ‘Best Narrative’ Category at the Lebanese Independent Film Festival and the Winner of the ‘Best Super Short Film’ Category at the Cannes World Film Festival.
