After an innocent AOL chat turns racy, a Catholic teenager in the early 00s discovers masturbating and struggles to suppress her new urges in the face of eternal damnation.
Yes, God, Yes is without a doubt a unique insight on the silliness of blind belief and religion in a truly humorous manner.
In my opinion, the script was slightly provocative but at the same time completely accurate and representative. Like I believe that this film truthfully embodied the point of view of religion concerning sexuality and more particularly female sexuality and sexual intercourse and the consequences of such acts that are vastly frowned upon and condemned.
If anything, I believe that such a story is tremendously needed because it does not only reveal the stupendous absurdities of religious ideologies, but it is correspondingly very influential for young kids growing up searching for validation and acceptance.
Natalia Dyer immaculately embodied her character and confidently distinguished herself from her cast mates with her unique wits and “virtuous” innocence. Alisha Boe also delivered a really convincing performance.
Yes, God, Yes presented an undoubtedly peculiar vibe that will leave you feeling cringed out yet completely pleased and amused! I highly recommend it!
