Acts of love by Isidore Bethel, Francis Leplay review

Unapologetically honest and poignant, Bethel’s self-made diary openly captures the indivisible union of sex and love.

Following a rather experimental and a raw approach, Acts of Love delves deep in exploring and analyzing the complex meanings of intimacy, sex, and loneliness. A vulnerable exploration constantly accompanied by an existential sensation.

Bethel and LePlay co-utilizes simple yet chaotic cinematographic techniques and successfully capture sincere situations in full glory – and ugliness. Truly an uncharted method that made this film both personal and real.

Acts of Love is affective and real. It openly exposes its source material and makes you wonder what truly lies beneath the surface!!
